This is my little corner of the internet— or should I say one of them, because you’ll find me here, here, here, here and here too. I used to be here all the time, but it felt increasingly icky to use a platform that’s so misaligned with my own values.
Apologies; I didn’t mean to start my publishing adventures here with a rant, but here we are. Nay. I intended to start with a warm hello. Let’s try this again.
Hello! I’m Holly. I’m a writer who splits her time between Melbourne and the beautiful Bass Coast on Bunarong Country.
I also split my time between writing, working in my communications consultancy (Blue51 Communications which I’ve had for over 11 years) being a mum to two teenage daughters and fur mum to one gorgeous Aussie Shepherd, running, hiking, reading and the boring but essential life stuff that we all do. Sometimes the balance between All. The. Things. is a bit out of whack, but I live and die by my schedule which conversely gives me the freedom to do the things I love.
You’ll find more about me here, but basically, I’m envisioning this space as an extension of my writing cave. I’ll be sharing about what’s floating my boat, what has my resting thinking face on overdrive as I ponder up a storm, as well as my thoughts, tools and insights as I dance around the publishing process. I’m a sucker for publishing behind the scenes, or a behind the scenes of anything and everything, really, and so I’ll also share bits and bobs from my writing life, as well as my more personal life, such as why I ran a marathon at the grand old age of fifty.
So, I hope you enjoy my mutterings and murmurings. Lord knows I absolutely love the act of muttering via the keyboard, so it’s a thrill for me to be sharing my writing here with you. Of course, I’d love to hear from you in return. Don’t hold back!
