Holly Cardamone is a Melbourne-based author and school librarian who is utterly besotted with Young Adult fiction. Her debut novel, Summer, in Between, was the winner of the 2024 Hawkeye Publishing Manuscript Development Prize.

Hi, I’m Holly. I’m a book worm and a word nerd who loves writing. Seriously, little lights me up like a scribble session with a side of staring out the window. I’m a lifelong language connoisseur, a mostly inconspicuous eavesdropper and am hands down the person you want on your table at a trivia night.

I live in beautiful Melbourne in a green-ish ‘burb, but I grew up on a farm by the beach and that’s where you’ll find me all summer and as many weekends as I can wrangle on a long run or an even longer hike. I swoon over alliteration and I’m a recovering em dash overuser. I’m also a voracious reader who has been known to mumble ‘just one more page’ on more than a handful of occasions.

Summer, in Between was published in 2025 by Hawkeye Publishing.

I also have a couple of biz book babies: Tell Your Story, Writing with Moxie and Storytelling Prompt cards that I wrote for my communications consultancy, Blue51 Communications. They’re perfect for people who want to build their brand.
